Children Homes for Children in need of care and protection:

Children Homes: - A large number of children in need of care and protection who are under the age of eighteen years are admitted to these homes for long term care, treatment, education, training, development and rehabilitation with orders of Child Welfare Committee.

There are seven Children Homes established in the State at Patiala, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Bathinda and Jalandhar (2).

Benefits-

1. To provide immediate help to children who are in vulnerable situations.

2. To fulfill the basic needs of children: food, clothing, shelter, education, medical-aid and free boarding & lodging.

Eligibility

The Children in need of care and protection are eligible.
