(A) The objective of the scheme is to assist the students with disabilities to secure such education (academic, technical or professional) so as to enable them to earn a living and to become useful member of the society.

Rate of Scholarship

Under this scheme, scholarship @ 200/- per month per Student with Disability for education for class Ist to 8th. Scholarship @ 300/- per month per the student with Disability for education/training from 9th Class onwards.

Eligibility

1. All students having 40 % and above disability (In any disability contained in the schedule of RPwD Act 2016) certificate.

2. The monthly income of family/guardians should not exceed Rs. 5000/- per month. (Rs. 60,000/- pa)

3. The candidate should have secured at least 40% marks in the previous annual examination.
 

(B) Attendance Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students with Disabilities of rural areas

The objective of this scheme is to help girls with disabilities in the rural areas & to pay incentives in the form of Attendance Scholarship.

Rate of Scholarship

1. Rs. 2500 per annum to the girl students up to 10th standard.

2. Rs. 3000 per annum to the girl students from 10+1 onwards upto higher education.

Eligibility

1. All rural girl students having 40 % and above disability (In any disability contained in the schedule of RPwD Act 2016).

2. The monthly income of family/guardians should not exceed Rs. 5000/- per month.

2. Minimum attendance should be 70 %.

Mode of application

Application for scholarship is submitted to Head of school/ college/ institution who after verifying it shall forward to the DSSO of the concerned district.

Benefits

The Students with Disabilities in the State are encouraged to continue studies.

Documents

(a) Disability Certificate/ UDID Card showing 40 % and above disability.

(b) Income certificate showing less than Rs. 60,000 P.A. income of parents.

Mode of Payment

The Directorate shall credit the scholarship online in the bank account of the student.
