Assistance for Programme relating to old age Scheme for the Welfare of Old age Persons
The main aim of this Scheme is to provide help to Physically, Socially, Mentally and Economically weak older persons so that they can become a working member of the Society. To fulfil the requirement of the aim, various facilities are provided to the needy old age like accommodation, provide food, medical facilities and other entertainment sources. The government of India provides the Grant in Aid for this purpose to Voluntary Organizations and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
Under the scheme the Voluntary Organization/Non-Govt. Organization are eligible to get grant-in-aid if;-
• These Organizations are registered under Societies Registration Act 1860.
• Any company which is established as per section 25 of the Companies Act 1958.
• These Institutions should have working experience of two years in this field.

Under the scheme, The financial assistance is provided to the NGOs. The detailed scheme is available on website www.socialjustice.nic.in.
The Voluntary Organization apply online on Website of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment through URL http://ngograntsje.gov.in. the District Social Security Officer inspects these cases and recommend them to Head Office. These cases are sent to Government of India through Online mode after approval of Central Grant-in-Aid Committee. The Government of India provides grant directly to Voluntary Organizations.
