This Home was established in 1961. This Home is located in Ram Colony Camp Hoshiarpur and is situated on Chandigarh-Hoshiarpur Road. There is provision to give shelter to needy Aged and Infirms in this home. The capacity of this Home is 50 inmates. Apart from taking care of aged, food and medical facilities are also provided free of cost to these aged persons. A budget of approximately of Rs. 55 lacs is allocated each year to this Home. In this Home an expenditure of Rs. 2000 thousand per person per month is made.
Method of Admission
Any needy aged person who has no place to live and whose children are not taking care of him/her can apply on plain paper duly verified from Sarpanch of Village and which is recommended by concerned Deputy Commissioner, is admitted in this Home.
Despite of this, Punjab Govt. is constructing old age home for 150 old age persons in District Barnala and Mansa. In District Barnala, The old age home is going to be constructed in Khatar Pati, Dhilwan Road, Tapa District Barnala.
Facilities
• Free food and medical facilities are provided to inmates of this Home.
• Clothes are also provided to the inmates in tune with weather conditions.
• In addition to Television and News Papers, there is also provision of indoor games.
Eligibility
• Aged and Infirms (male above 65 years, female above 60 years).
• Those who have no place to live and no one to take care.
• The applicant should be domicile of Punjab State.
